During my recent stay at Hotel DuPont, Bruce, the bellman, delivered truly exceptional service that set the tone for a seamless and stress-free experience. At check-in, I found myself in a bit of a bind, juggling multiple awkward, cumbersome bags while searching for my corporate card, only to realize I needed to leave the hotel and return before completing the process. It could have easily become a frustrating start to my stay, but Bruce immediately stepped in with professionalism and care. He promptly assisted me with my belongings, securely stowing my items so I could step away without worry. His attentiveness and efficiency transformed what could have been a chaotic situation into one of complete ease and reassurance. Instead of feeling burdened and overwhelmed, I felt supported and taken care of. Bruce’s calm demeanor, proactive approach, and genuine willingness to help added a level of comfort and relief that made a lasting impression. It’s service like this that elevates a stay from good to exceptional. Bruce is a true asset to Hotel DuPont, and I’m grateful for the outstanding hospitality he provided.

Visited for brunch and got in on the FIFA World Cup welcome of the Ivory Coast National team. The meal service was mediocre for a 5 stars establishment. The location is close to the park, historic and business areas.

I spent two weeks at the Hotel du Pont in November 2025 and had an excellent stay. The rooms were outstanding, the staff was truly exceptional, and the hotel strikes a perfect balance between historic charm and modern convenience. It has the character of a classic landmark with the comfort and luxury of an updated property. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it.

I stopped in this beautiful hotel when I was exploring downtown Wilmington and I'm so glad! The lobby is gorgeous and there is quite a lot of information about the history of the hotel and some cool facts about famous people who have stayed there. It's also connected to another food hall and there's a small gift shop, but check the website for their hours before going!

We had a wonderful experience hosting our sangeet at the Hotel DuPont. The ballroom is absolutely beautiful, with its elegant architecture, timeless design, and warm ambiance that created the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The space feels both grand and intimate, and it made the evening feel truly special for us and our guests. Shellie was exceptional throughout the entire process. She was organized, responsive, and easy to communicate with from the beginning, which made planning feel smooth and stress-free. I called her with multiple crises and she went above and beyond to address each and every wish and desire. For example, Dhruv and I desperately wanted to set up a stage for our performances and she pulled through for us! She helped us trouble shoot our seating arrangements and even smaller details like adding an extra seat to a table at the very last minute. Shellie’s professionalism, attention to detail, and calm presence made a significant impact on our overall experience. She played a key role in making our sangeet beautifully executed and truly memorable, and we would highly recommend her to anyone planning an event at the Hotel DuPont.

We hosted our Sangeet in the Golden ballroom at this venue. All our guests commented that it had been a beautiful and elegant setting. Shellie, our main point of contact, was very easy to work with and troubleshoot with (which is essential in the wedding planning process for those of you that haven't started yet). There's a nice and meaningful historical significance to the room as well, if you decide to truly look at the art (which Shellie will also likely explain during the tour). The staff was professional and accommodating, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. Hotel DuPont was absolutely amazing and the perfect place for our wedding stay. We stayed there in August last year, and the service from start to finish was outstanding. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, which made a big difference during such an important weekend for us. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and well maintained. Everything felt polished and thoughtfully done, and it gave us a great place to relax amid the excitement of the wedding. The Green Room bar was on another level. Easily one of the best bar experiences I have ever had. The bartender was exceptional and truly top notch, knowledgeable, engaging, and made every drink feel special. It became a highlight of our stay and a favorite spot for us and our guests. Staying at Hotel DuPont made our wedding experience even more memorable. If you are looking for great service, beautiful rooms, and an unforgettable bar experience in Wilmington, this is the place. Highly recommend.
